Northwest Portland is one of the most desirable areas in Portland because of its upscale residential areas and easy access to downtown. Northwest Portland is one of the most expensive areas to live and has the largest variety of properties, ranging from historic homes and private multi-million dollar mansions to high-rise condos.

Northwest Portland is also home to Forest Park, one of the country's largest urban forest reserves. The park covers more than 5,100 acres and includes roughly 70 miles of recreational trails perfect for hiking, biking and bird watching.
